Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi is the latest leader to die in a helicopter crash. Raisi and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian were killed on Sunday when their helicopter crashed in a mountainous area near the city of Djorfa in northwestern Iran.

Ukraine
A helicopter carried senior Ukrainian officials, including Interior Minister Denys Monastyrsky Crash January 2023 On the outskirts of the capital, Kiev, more than a dozen people were killed, including other key figures in the wartime leadership.
Monastrsky is a political ally of President Volodymyr Zelensky, and the crash near a primary school is believed to be an accident.
Kenya

Sudan
In 2005, John Garang, who had led the country’s rebellion against the Sudanese government for decades, was killed in a helicopter crash in northern Uganda. He was due to fly to southern Sudan.
Mr Garang, who was appointed Sudan’s vice president just weeks ago, played a key role in the peace deal that ended the country’s civil war. His swearing-in drew more than a million people to the streets of Sudan’s capital, Khartoum.
